Over 300 people attended Malibu’s annual National Dealer Meeting on November 2-4 at the Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ in Texas, to learn about the 2014 lineup, share best practices, plan for the future and have a great time on and off the water. We, at Malibu, hold our dealers in high regard and this meeting serves a purpose to equip the dealers with all the tools they need to provide our customers the best experience from finding the right boat, to getting value from their purchase and maintaining relationships with excellent customer service.

With Malibu Boats staff members on hand and dozens of vendors with products on display, the dealers learned about everything happening with both Malibu and Axis boats. They were also treated to five-star hospitality including entertainment and awards ceremonies. With this energetic, fun crew, there is never a dull moment.

On Saturday evening, the all-new Axis T22 was revealed to all. Using a unique, waterfall reveal, the dealer reception was exceptional. Well over an hour after the reveal, dealers were still crawling around the boat with excitement.

Malibu Boats CEO Jack Springer was thrilled with the outcome of the Dealer Meeting. “We had an incredible attendance with 50 more attendees and dealers than last year,” Springer said. “The spirit of the meeting was fantastic -- the best I have seen. That is a credit to all of our staff members, the boats that are being built, the product being introduced and the manner in which we are taking care of our dealers. Plus, we couldn’t do any of this without our dealers. They are an enthusiastic group of people who really help define Malibu as a brand.”

Sunday consisted of education and preparation for our dealers. The sales team, in partnership with Charles White on video, created a very insightful and compelling production. In the afternoon, dealers took to the special sessions and vendor mall as well as on the water to experience the Axis T22, A24, SURF GATE®, Malibu WAKESETTER 23 LSV and other product. That evening, we hosted our CSI and supplier awards followed by casino game night, which went until late in the evening.

Monday morning involved more training and competitive analysis by the sales team. The afternoon included the same format as Sunday afternoon. Our semi-formal dinner and awards night began at 6:00 p.m. and turned out to be a fantastic evening. A very special, first time award was given away as the last award, called the “Hall of Fame Award.” Minnesota Inboard has been a dealer for 21 years and is a great partner to Malibu and Axis and received the first induction. Malibu plans to set aside a special area at the factory to memorialize the Hall Of Fame inductees.
