2014 Malibu WWA Pro Card Feeder System for Pro Men’s Division

Pro Card

Continuing to set the standard of competitive wakeboarding, the WWA announces the 2014 Malibu WWA Pro Card qualification events. Created as a recognition tool used by the WWA to clearly define “professional wakeboarders” from their aspiring amateur friends, the standard setting program includes qualification and WWA World Rankings to show a clear path of how riders turn pro.

Riders, get ready for Wake Games, US Pro Tour, WWA World Series and more by qualifying your 2014 Malibu WWA Pro Card. All riders planning on riding in any pro men’s division, regardless of Wake Park (Cable) or Wakeboard (Boat) events will need to qualify for their 2014 Malibu WWA Pro Card before they will be eligible to compete in the Pro Men’s division.

The Malibu WWA Pro Card, renewed annually based on WWA World Rankings, legitimizes elite-level riders that are truly professional and encourages them -- regardless of wakeboard (boat) or wake park (Cable) - to set a higher standard of riding at professional contests.

Once a rider has qualified to acquire their WWA Pro Card, they will be ranked on the WWA World Rankings list, a multi-year, cumulative ranking from all major WWA Pro events around the world. The WWA Wakeboard (Boat) World Rankings and the WWA Wake Park (Cable) World Rankings work hand-in-hand with the WWA Pro Card. The top 20 riders on the WWA Wakeboard World Rankings and the top 15 on the WWA Wake Park World Rankings lists automatically retain their Malibu Boats WWA Pro Card for the following season.
