Training Behind Malibu Pays Off For Pro Team

Something was in the air on the last weekend of July, as Malibu Pro Team athletes were honored on all major podiums in waterskiing, wakeboarding and wakeskating for a total of eight podium appearances.

Phil Soven and Amber Wing continue their reign on the King/Queen Of Wake Tour and are both positioned in first place on the season standings. Phil values training behind his WAKESETTER 22 MXZ and knows it gives him an edge over the competition, "Having a 22 MXZ at my house enables me not only to learn new tricks, but gives me a consistent wake so I can perfect everything I do. When I show up to a contest, all my tricks are on lock and it gives me the confidence I need to win over and over again."

Regina Jaquess pulled an incredible feat at the World Games in Colombia, by winning both Womens Slalom and Jump. Thomas Degasperi also took home a first place slalom title. Regina earned the gold with 2 buoys at 38-feet off. With the victory, Regina extended her winning streak to 15 months. Thomas, skiing for Italy, took the gold with 4-1/2 buoys at 38-feet off.

Our Pro Team athletes train behind Malibu Boats to prepare for competition. All levels of riders and skiers can improve their performance behind our boats faster than they could behind any other brand. Malibu's engineers pride themselves on the versatility of our boats for all types of water sport disciplines. Check out our WAKESETTER and RESPONSE boats HERE and have fun with our Build A Boat feature, where you can design your own, custom Malibu.
