Malibu Boats Recognizing Heroes with Boat Discounts and Free Options

Malibu Boats is recognizing North America’s everyday heroes this spring with the Malibu Hero Boat Buying Event. From our military to firefighters to law enforcement to educators to those in medical professions, we thank you. We recognize what you do for all of us and we want to give a little back. Malibu Boats in cooperation with the entire US and Canadian Malibu dealer network is offering each hero a reduced price on a custom-ordered 2009 Malibu Wakesetter and a collection of free options. Malibu Heroes are also being exclusively distinguished with a specially designed badge, a $250 Malibu gear gift certificate and custom options as well as their place on the Malibu Hero Wall online. Malibu Boats is creating a web page showcasing these amazing individuals who serve selflessly everyday to better our communities. Just another small benefit to give these everyday heroes the recognition they deserve.

Heroes looking to buy a Malibu Boat will receive special discount pricing on any custom-order 2009. The special pricing does not apply to dealer inventory or used boats. Malibu Heroes can visit iSpec to build their new Malibu boat exactly how they dream it. A custom Malibu is a fitting tribute to the unique and selfless character traits everyday heroes possess. The Malibu Hero Boat Buying Event also offers exclusive options that won’t be found on anything but a Hero Edition Malibu boat.

Malibu Heroes can create their own 3-option Hero Edition package. For the first free option they can choose between the new 6.5” color LCD MaliView with a built-in depth finder or the Patented Power Wedge. For the second free option heroes can pick either a bimini or a boat cover. The third free option could be a custom Hero Edition embroidered carpet saver or a color-matched fiberglass swim step. But these options are not the end of the benefits being bestowed on Malibu Heroes. There’s more.

Each Malibu Hero will also receive a collection of custom Hero Edition accessories as well as a $250 Malibu Boats Gear gift certificate. The exclusive “Hero Only” accessories include service-specific Hero Edition Hull Graphics (available if fire, police, military and patriotic designs) and 2 Hero Edition tow vehicle badges. This entire Malibu Hero package equals more than $3500 of options and accessories.

Malibu Boats feels very strongly about honoring everyday heroes that make a difference in our lives. That is why they are creating a Malibu Hero Wall. This web page is being built to house the photos and stories of these inspirational heroes like Marine Corps Cpl. Joshua D. Pickard and Army Sgt. Nickolas Brown. Whether they own a Malibu boat now, are looking to buy a boat through the Malibu Hero Boat Buying Event or they simply dream of owning a Malibu they have a place on the Malibu Hero Wall. The only prerequisite is “everyday hero” status and there is no shortage of these amazing people in North America. Malibu hopes to showcase a wonderful cross section of these individuals on the Hero Wall. E-mail heroes@malibuboats.com with your military, law enforcement, firefighting, teaching or medical hero story and pictures.

It is time to recognize those hard working individuals who make our safe and fruitful existence possible with the vehicle of fun and relaxation they deserve. Malibu believes helping these great people get into a custom Hero Edition Malibu boat is the least they can do.

Visit your local Malibu dealer and order your Hero Edition Malibu boat today. The Malibu Hero Boat Buying Event ends June 1, 2009.

Video: Wakeboarding Behind a Malibu in a Wedding Dress
Wakeboarding Behind a Malibu in a Wedding Dress
Video: Wakeboarding Behind a Malibu in a Wedding Dress

We came across this video yesterday and had to share it. The video was produced by JAO Productions for Photography by Sabrina. The clip is called "Trash the Dress" and you'll quickly find out why. But the best part of this video, in the humble opinion of Malibu Boats, is toward the end. You'll see a bride jump in the water off the back of a Malibu Wakesetter. Then she and her husband, or husband to be, proceed to ride in their wedding clothes. I bet these were the best wedding pictures ever! It is a great video clip and definitely our favorite this month! Thanks for allowing us to post it JAOPRO.

People: Our First Malibu Heroes

Since the Malibu Hero Wall was erected online we have been managing a list of Malibu Heroes who have earned the right to be featured on this wall. They have been deemed worthy of this honor for their service to their country and community as well as the selfless deeds they perform. These spots are held for inspirational men and women who make-up the new baseline of heroism in North America. These heroes probably haven't been honored with parades or a public display of appreciation. That just makes these heroes more worthy of a place on this wall, according to the Malibu Boats Family.

Here are some brief summaries of the first three Malibu Heroes to find their place on the wall. Visit the Malibu Hero Wall to read on. And if you have a Malibu Hero story to share please e-mail it along with a photo to heroes@malibuboats.com.

Joshua D. Pickard and Family
The Pickard Family is a friend of Malibu Boats and lives near the California Factory in Atwater, CA. They are everyday heroes who deserve to be honored. Not because of a boat they own, but because of the amazing sons they have raised and the ultimate sacrifice they have had to make for one son’s efforts to keep this country safe. Read Josh and family's entire post on the Malibu Hero Wall.

Army Sergeant Nickolas Brown
Army Sergeant Nickolas Brown is a Teamleader in the Infantry. He is stationed Fairbanks, Alaska, Fort Wainwright, but currently deployed to Diyala Province, Iraq. Nickolas is 23, born and raised in Vancouver, Washington and loves to wakeboard. By his own admission he is a little rusty, but can’t wait to get back on the water once he‘s stateside. He also loves to tube behind the boat. Or at least, he likes to drive while someone else is tubing. Read Nick's entire post on the Malibu Hero Wall.

Events: Malibu Spring Break Factory Boat Show huge Success

The Malibu Boats Spring Break Boat Shows went of without a hitch April 25th and 26th. Both the Tennessee and California Factory Spring Break Events had great weather and great times! Each event inducted some new Malibu Boats family members and gave away some great prizes! The kids had fun too. Malibu offered face painting, bounce houses, coloring contests, hula hoop challenges, boat rides and more. While Moms and Dads took VIP factory tours and struck great deals on Malibu boats, the kids played. Once the deals were done the adults played. They played "Handle Toss" in California for big prizes and "Bean Bag Toss" in Tennessee. Two lucky new Malibu boat owners even took home grand prizes on Sunday. There was fun for everyone at the Malibu Boats Spring Break Factory Boat Shows. Malibu Spring Break was so successful Malibu Boats is announcing it as one of their annual events. If you couldn't make it this year, make sure to attend Malibu Spring Break in 2010!

Check out the Malibu Spring Break Factory Boat Show Flickr Gallery. Or if you would like to learn more about the Malibu Spring Break events visit the California or Tennessee web sites.

Gear: Protective Transom Pad

Gear: Protective Transom Guard

We all cringe when someone is getting ready ride, muscling on their bindings and the board encounters the transom gel coat. The engineered swim step lessens these accidents, but the piece of mind the Malibu Transom Pad offers may be worth it for you. Let's face it, your Malibu boat is your baby and you want to do everything you can to protect it from wear and tear.

Strap this guard on the next time you go out riding and breath a little easier. It prevents scratches and dings to your transom and slaps another "Malibu" on the boat. And it's made of black nylon. What could be better. Buy one today!

Order your favorite Malibu Boats Gear today.
