The judges at the International Boat Builders Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) have recognized Malibu Boats’ Docking/Trailer Camera as their pick for the 2018 Innovation Award for Safety Equipment. This award affirms Malibu’s dedication to design, engineering, and innovation making our boats easier and safer to operate. Cooperatively developed with our partner, Medallion Instrumentation Systems, the Malibu Docking/Trailer Camera was exclusively designed to bring customers a better experience in docking, trailering, and safety on the water. As part of the 2019 Malibu lineup, the Docking/Trailer camera allows the boat captain an unobstructed view in front of the vessel.

"At Malibu, it’s a priority to drive innovations like the bow camera that make boating easier for our customers. It’s about enjoying your time out on the water..."

Jack Springer//CEO of Malibu Boats, Inc.

“It was an exciting moment at this year’s IBEX to have the NMMA recognize the bow camera’s innovation. We would like to thank the team at Medallion for collaborating with us on this project; it is not the first time we have won an award with Medallion, which makes for a great partnership. At Malibu, it’s a priority to drive innovations like the bow camera that make boating easier for our customers. It’s about enjoying your time out on the water.” – Jack Springer, CEO of Malibu Boats, Inc.

The Malibu Docking/Trailer camera interfaces with the Malibu Command Center™, a 2017 IBEX Innovation Award winner, creating a video stream display when you select docking mode to assist the captain during docking and trailering maneuvers. In combination with the Command Center’s rear-view Camera, which activates automatically when shifting into reverse, the driver now has a complete view around the boat all from the helm seat.

“Medallion is very proud of this partnership with Malibu and we continue to work on refining and improving the user’s experience...”
