Malibu’s water ski athlete, Regina Jaquess, has disrupted the world of water skiing once again. Monday, July 16th, 2018, Regina set a world record behind Malibu’s Response TXi at the Isles of Lake Hancock Ski Club. This private lake in Winter Garden, Florida has witnessed many great runs by world renown skiers, now topped off by Regina’s new record.

Having this remarkable world record was a huge accomplishment for Regina, yet she never settled. Now she has proven ground-breaking once again. Same lake, same boat, but a new record for Regina. July 16th, 2018 Regina was skiing at the Isles of Lake Hancock Ski Club when she ran four buoys at 41’ off behind Malibu Response TXi, setting a new world record.

“The first day I signed with Malibu Boats was at a tournament, and I tied the world slalom record at 1 buoy off 41’. The next day I broke the record, which was a 14-year standing record, at 1.5 buoys at 41’. At that time, it was such an amazing feat. I didn’t think 4 buoys at 41’ would ever happen, but you [all Malibu employees] did. Through all your hard work, innovation, and drive to be better every day in this factory that has made it happen to where 4 buoys at 41’ off is official. This is the 12th record I now have behind a Malibu Boat,” exclaims Regina Jaquess.
