Malibu Boats Rider Experience Canada Recap
New riders and returning competitors were welcomed to Muskoka, Ontario, one of Canada’s premier wake sports mecca for the final stop of the 2019 Malibu WWA Rider Experience Series. With a rich history of hosting many of the world’s biggest events, this was the perfect place to bring together Canada’s wake community and family-friendly atmosphere for an unforgettable weekend of progressive riding. Hosted by Gordon Bay Marine, Malibu Pro athletes such as Chard Sharpe and Oli Derome kicked off the weekend with Freeride Friday giving riders an all-access experience to the best of the best in instruction and competition.
Thanks to the tips learned on Friday, Saturday’s competition saw some incredible performances and discovered some new talent out on Lake Muskoka. Teaming up with the Ontario Wake Series the event attracted four of Canada’s National team young guns; Avery Spalding, Liam Brearley, Cam Spalding and Jesse Jarrett who competed against several other of the country’s top riders to watch out for. Surf Gate Sunday closed out a perfect weekend, with Malibu’s blue wakes of perfection solidifying a good time had by all at Gordon Bay Marine.
