We would like to congratulate Malibu Boats team athlete,Regina Jaquess as theUSA Water Ski’s 2018 Female Athlete of the Year. Regina has had a remarkable 2018 from breaking world records to becoming the 2018 Female Athlete of the Year for now the eleventh time.
The very day that Regina signed to become a Malibu athlete, she broke a world record. Since that day, she has continued to excel and outperform all competition. Regina has many highlights this year, including the US Masters where she was the only female slalom skier in history to run a complete 10.75 pass at Robin Lake.
Regina disrupted the world of water skiing yet again in July when she set a new world record behind Malibu’s Response TXi by running four buoys at 41’ off. She capped off the year 2018 with a huge win at the IWWF’s Pan American Championships. In Chile, Regina set Pan American Records in slalom, overall, and jump as she placed first in slalom jump and overall and third in tricks.
Regina has continued to push herself year over year, and it is no shock that this elite athlete has been recognized as Female Athlete of the Year. We are so proud of you Regina!
