Top-of-Class Marketing for 2021 Model Year
Malibu Boats™, the global leader in watersports towboat sales, was recently recognized for its top-of-class marketing in the 2021 model year. Marine Marketers of America (MMA) — the gold standard organization for marketing in the entire marine industry—awarded Malibu two first-places: 1) best in the diversity initiatives category; and 2) best in the video-long-length category. Malibu also received an Honorable Mention for the customer retention category.

In winning the diversity category, Malibu’s “Brave the Wave Adaptive Surf Tour” paired top-tier Malibu professional athletes with adaptive athletes of all levels in an inclusive, safe and fun environment that provided adaptive athletes with the opportunity to experience the thrill of wakesurfing. For its top place finish in the long-length video category for “Bringing Families Together”, Malibu featured the Roberts family — an active family of five who treasures their Malibu Wakesetter 21 LSV as the magnet that brings them together. The Roberts have been long-standing members of the Malibu family, and their authentic story of memorable days on the water was just waiting to be told.Watch
Malibu’s Honorable Mention in the customer retention category recognized its five-part educational series offered to new boaters. As more people join the boating lifestyle, this series helps them learn tips and tricks to optimize their ease and enjoyment of boat ownership.
With these marketing awards, Malibu was the most awarded towboat brand of the prestigious Miami Boat Show, bringing home these as well as an Innovation award for its new trailer design. “To be recognized by the top marine marketing associations is an honor, and we are passionate about promoting a love of boating to diverse audiences ranging from experts to newcomers,” said Malibu CEO Jack Springer. “Count on us to keep raising the bar every year with exciting products and marketing.”
